Meet the Artist!
Hello! My name is Hayeon Jeong. I'm a Fine Arts student at the University of Cincinnati DAAP. I am currently focusing on drawing, painting, and illustration.
Since I was little, art has been my way to share my world and bring my imagination out of my head. It also helps me pause and rest from all my worries. My work is mostly in drawing, painting, and digital illustration, and it is inspired by childhood, the stages of life, memories, and Korean culture. I also love to make work about my own characters, especially Anthony (Anty) the ant. My work is lighthearted and playful rather than heavily conceptual, focusing on imaginative scenes that naturally appear in my mind throughout my days. I think of my work as a resting place—something light, simple, and approachable—and I hope viewers can pause when they encounter my illustrations, feel a moment of joy or calm, and continue their day with a refreshed mind.
